The plain-language version of the rules for using Too Hard Pile.
Too Hard Pile is a practice app for mental models — inversion, incentives, root cause, and the like. We provide it "as is." We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't guarantee the service is uninterrupted or error-free.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account. Don't share your login, and let us know if you think someone else has access to it.
Your journal entries and digs are yours. We store them so the app can work, but we don't claim ownership of what you write, and we don't publish or share it. See our Privacy page for details on how your data is handled.
Too Hard Pile offers a free plan and a paid plan (Trailblazer) with expanded access. Paid plans are billed through our payment processors (Creem as merchant of record for international payments; Razorpay for payments in India). Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from Settings — you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for — or by contacting us. Deleting your account automatically cancels any active subscription. Prices may change; changes apply from your next billing period, never retroactively, and we'll show the new price before it bills.
If something went wrong — you were charged in error, or the service failed you — email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right, including a refund where appropriate. Refunds for simply changing your mind are at our discretion (that's what cancel-anytime is for). If a payment is refunded, the associated paid access ends.
Too Hard Pile trains general thinking skills. Drills and tools may use scenarios about money, careers, health, or relationships, but nothing here is financial, investment, legal, medical, or psychological advice. Decisions you make — with or without our tools — are your own.
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to break in, scrape at scale, spam the feedback channel, resell access, or interfere with other users. Accounts are for individuals — one human per account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Too Hard Pile.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Too Hard Pile and BlackShip Developers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute can't be resolved by talking to us first (please try — we're reasonable), it belongs to the courts of India.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
